At ASPCL, our non-profit Community Care Foundation is dedicated for wetland, biodiversity and environment protection, where we have constantly looked for ways to make the community a cleaner, greener and prosperous space for everyone to reside in. In line with our strategic goals, we aim to educate the community about water consumption and waste management in Ajman.

With the people of Ajman at the heart of our efforts, we give back to the community in the following three ways:

1. Installation of water-saving devices

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi and in partnership with Ajman Municipality and Planning – Public Health & Environment Department, we focus to install water-saving devices in all schools, universities and mosques across Ajman. These water-saving devices have proved to be efficient and have enabled these institutions to effectively save 50 percent of water consumed on a daily basis which leads to a brighter, more sustainable future for the city of Ajman.

2. Volunteering and bird-watching activities

We host various volunteering events at our Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), where our team of staff and bird-watcher volunteers regularly meet together to socialize, beautify and preserve the wetlands for future generations to enjoy. We believe that every effort taken by individuals will lead to a more sustainable city for all.

3. Educational Tours

In Ajman, we place a large emphasis on the importance of education. Therefore, we host numerous educational tours for different levels of school children at our treatment plants. By educating our future generations, we seek to raise awareness on the importance of water management and the role ASPCL plays in creating a prosperous future for all.

Through our efforts to give back to the community, we hope to inform and educate Ajman about the environment and ASPCL’s actions to create a cleaner and maintainable city. Open for all to participate, we remain completely transparent about our processes, which is exhibited at our open days and volunteering events.
